JOLLIBEE OPENS NEW RESTAURANT IN LONDON

 

We are THRILLED to see that Jollibee, Philippines largest and most successful restaurant chain has opened his flagship restaurant on the 20th of May 2021 at 22 Leicester Square, London. It’ll make it even easier for our bellies to be filled. And re-filled. And re-re-re-re-re-re-re…well you get the idea.

It’s first UK restaurant opened at Earl's Court in 2018 was a hit with thousands of people queuing up to have a taste of their famous chicken.

 

Facts:

It was founded in 1978 in the Philippines and it all began with a humble ice cream store by Tony Tan Caktiong. It is now still family-run.

Jollibee is one of the world's fastest-growing Asian restaurant chains.

It serves a delicious crispy fried chicken and fast-food classics with a modern tropical twist and meets exceptional standard of service

It now has over 5,800 stores in 1,478 locations, and operates in 33 countries, such as USA, Canada, Italy and now UK.

It offers job opportunities for 60 Londoners, providing some much-needed support to London’s hospitality industry

Jollibee has large-scale plans to expand across Europe and North America, by 2025, it intends to have 50 stores across Europe, including the first restaurant in Spain

So far, the company has sold over three million pieces of chicken to the British people and this number is set to rise to 15 million by the end of 2022.

With views of Leicester Square Gardens and neighbouring ODEON Luxe, Jollibee chose the hot spot of West End, to serve thousands of Londoners and tourists.

Yes, it’s the key ingredient and brings the tropical flavours of South East Asia to Jollibee’s UK menu.

Others include the Asian Chicken Tender Rice Bowl, Mango Coconut Sundae and Pineapple Juice.

The British spend €1.2 billion on fast food chicken per year (compared to €652 million in Germany and €700 million in France) so we can see why UK is clearly a key market for Jollibee's expansion expansion.
