The opening of the year!!!! After Gloria (Capresse) and Circolo Popolare (Sicilian), Big Mamma's group is opening its third London restaurant of their empire, a Florence-inspired paradise. It will have 300 guests capacity, two terraces (one of which will be an inner courtyard) and a basement bar with 3500-strong bottle wall, a 70s-style mirrored basement. Finsbury Park station's is undergoing a massive redevelopment and two new music led bars are part of this:
The Night Owl - sister to The Night Owl in Birmingham, will have DJs, bands, cocktails and a 'Caribbean fusion tapas' menu, all on former Zelman Drinks site.
Someday Canteen and Bar – by the Moth Club team in Hackney, will be serving plant-based dishes by Club Mexicana and will have DJ sets at the weekend. The bar is opening up next door to Boulangerie Bon Matin as part of the City North Place development.

BAO does noodles as the new BAO in Shoreditch is inspired by beef noodle shops in Taiwan so will focus on noodle bowls, with bao buns as well, of course. Previously Andina, the space will now be a noodle shop and karaoke bar, the sixth restaurant from the Taiwanese mini-chain. Imagine a tiled-walled and wood-clad space with an open kitchen. The dishes are made with bone broth, fresh wheat noodles and Cornish beef (min 40 days aged). Enjoy!

Ace Pizza is popping-up at Five Points Brewery's Hackney taproom under the arches for the whole summer, after the successful take-over at Five Points' Pembury Tavern Pub. They serve stone-baked, slow-proofed, crispy New York-Neapolitan style pizzas, from a leopard print oven painted (!!!!), to enjoy during every match of the Euros.
They will be joined by Decatur from 24-25 July, with Louisiana-inspired seafood boils, and the British Hopped Beer Festival in August.

This new spot by co-founder Claudia Stevenson has a double personality: is a nice little matcha bar by day and swish cocktail joint by night, just like the magical transformation of a green superhero with powerful antioxidant benefits. The bar will have a field green and ocean blue colour theme, original Japanese seating and bespoke geometric shelving for a relaxing ambiance. It will serve shakes, shots and snacks, all infused with matcha, the “clean green caffeine” as well as Japanese inspired food.

Sambrooks Brewery are launching Sambrooks Brewery Tap, their big new brewery taproom, and Crust Bros will serve the food there. The huge space will also have a large outdoor terrace and can seat up to 160 guests.
Their pizzas have recently won gold at the National Pizza Awards and are made from 48 hour-proved dough and they go so well with the special craft beer pairings available. Furthermore, a tree is planted for every pizza sold through Earthly project.

Big Japanese udon restaurant arrives in the UK
