The Aegean-inspired London hotspot never fails to impress – and its delicious bites and vibrant late nights are now even more exciting with a fresh roster of chefs cooking each week. May 17th will see Marianna Leivaditaki bringing Cretan influences to the kitchen of Hovarda, serving up phenomenal flavours straight from the Eastern Med.
April saw the anticipated launch of House of Hovarda - a unique dining experience featuring a new and inspiring guest talent, championing the crossover between hospitality and lifestyle to create an iconic event every Tuesday. It was kicked off in style by Chef Luke French from JÖRO, Sheffield’s first ever Michelin recognised restaurant, and each week will see a different chef, chosen from some of the globe's best-known talent, offering a new exciting menu curated just for their guests.
Marianna Leivaditaki (previously of East London’s Morito) is up on 17th May, bringing the flavours of Crete and Eastern Mediterranean influences to the kitchen of Hovarda. Renowed for her cookbook Aegean that launched in July 2020, Marianna’s experience includes big names such as Moro, as well as Morito on Hackney Road. Her menu will include fava bean puree, stuffed vine leaf, broad beans, quail egg and home cured fish pastrouma, spiced green beans, watermelon radish, tropea onions, pickled chopped salad.
Other notable chefs on the impressive line-up include Liam Rogers, the MasterChef Professionals 2021 Finalist and former chef at Michelin favourites Restaurant Sat Bains and Restaurant Andrew Farilie. His menu features Wye Valley Asparagus, Halibut, and Squab Pigeon, and is topped off with a sweet Rhubarb + Custard.
And if the tantalising menus aren’t enough to send you running to the booking page, the in-house DJs take over from 10pm each night, and with live music playing five days a week until 1am, Hovarda is a must for foodies and music lovers alike.
House of Hovarda takes place on Tuesdays, with a set menu of four courses at £50 per head. Hovarda is located in the heart of the West End at 36-40 Rupert Street, W1D 6DN, with its Aegean-inspired kitchen serving up delicious feasts Tue – Sat, 17:00 – 23:00.
