Benugo has collaborated with ClimatePartner to create a new 100% carbon neutral menu that is now available at all locations. With the cradle to grave carbon cost of individual hot drinks displayed on the menu, it aims to help customers minimise their carbon footprint through full transparency, to help them make an informed choice in their coffee selections.
The new illustrated coffee menu highlights the carbon footprint in kg CO2 equivalent to greenhouse gases across all Benugo cafes, restaurants, and grab & go sites. It will see figures associated with customers’ choice of hot drink, including flat white, latte, cappuccino, macchiato and hot chocolate, allowing them to swap for a less impactful cup should they wish to.
But offsetting isn’t the whole solution in the wider sustainability journey, Benugo understands. Other than brewing its espresso blend with beans that are 100% Rainforest Alliance certified, there has been a real effort to decarbonise its supply chain in its entirety. And, in terms of end-to-end positive impact of the projects, the investment in the educational element to consumers is a real key to maximising that.
You can find new 100% carbon neutral menu at your nearest Benugo outlet, where you can scan a QR code for further information on the footprint measurement, the reduction measures being taken, and the offset projects being supported.
