Gumtree, the home of secondhand goods, is opening an IRL version of the website’s freebies section at the Ace Corner Shop in Shoreditch, in this time of economic pressure.
It will be completely free of charge, and will offer a mix of pre-loved items such as furniture, books, children’s items, for your home, garden, wardrobe and more. You will receive a token at the door for you to exchange at the till for any item in the store.
The shop will have four sections:
- Garden Party, with parasol, gnomes and garden furniture;
- Outgrown, with house plants, wicker baskets, gardening equipment and more;
- Laze By The Beach, with summer essentials such as books, sunnies, buckets & spades, beach towels;
- Rainy Daze, with puzzles, wellies and waterproofs.
Charity Shop Sue has also donated an exclusively curated bundle of goodies to be revealed on the day.
What's more, TV presenter Angellica Bell will be there in the afternoon to show us her favourite products and give shopping tips in order to save money.
The best part: you will also be able to try your luck at the tombola where you can win cash prizes.
