Klarna is gifting a helping hand to shoppers across the UK. The global leader in modern payment methods has unveiled a new, intelligent search and compare tool within the App, saving consumers time and money by comparing prices across thousands of retailers.
Launching ahead of Black Friday and the Christmas period, Klarna hopes to assist shoppers looking for the best deals, with features like smart filters to search by what’s important to them – whether it’s colour, size, features, customer ratings, store availability, and shipping options.
The tool alleviates the frustration of sifting through millions of disorganized results at conventional search engines, proving a credible alternative to traditional methods of search as a starting point for online shopping journeys. It lists product results from thousands of retailers in price order, also showing price fluctuations for the consumer to determine whether to purchase now or wait.
The intelligence of Klarna’s search function is packed into a new panel in Klarna’s in-app browser. Whenever shoppers are browsing a product page, a panel will show consumers everything they need to know about their selection to make a confident decision, including whether retailers are offering a better price, or the ratings attached to products. What’s more, the new app feature also generates a pop-up panel at checkout, which automatically looks for and applies any available coupons or voucher codes to further discount the final purchase price.
The tool builds on last year’s acquisition of the ever popular PriceRunner, Klarna’s largest acquisition to date. With the addition of this new search and compare tool to the Klarna App, Klarna is now a one stop shop where consumers can search and discover, and the best prices and deals, pay how they prefer and enjoy post-purchase perks like delivery tracking, digital receipts and seamless returns.
And it’s not just customers that win. For retailers, the search and compare tool becomes a key acquisition channel, boosting their visibility, traffic, and sales with an engaged audience. It’s a clear alternative to tech giants like Google and Amazon when it comes to attracting traffic, with Klarna already boasting a strong affiliate marketing business which generates 600 million leads a year for Klarna’s retail partners.
You can say hello to real choice and better deals with Klarna’s price comparison tool, available in the Klarna app now.
