Fortnum & Mason announced the winners of the esteemed annual Food & Drink Awards in style earlier this evening, in true style at the Royal Exchange.
The night was one of lavish bites, flowing champagne and cocktails, and hearty celebration. The 11th anniversary was attended by over 300 guests, including American actor and cookery book author Stanley Tucci, Mary Berry, Matt Tarbutt (BBC1 Saturday Morning Kitchen presenter), Grace Dent (The Guardian food critic), Jay Rayner, Mark Hox, James Martin, Rick Stein, and many more.
Since 2013, this award has celebrated the finest food and drink writing, with former winners including Nigel Slater, Diana Henry and Samin Nosrat. Fortnum & Mason celebrates discovering and championing the achievements of the UK’s writers, editors, publishers, photographers and broadcasters who encourage us to enjoy, explore, experiment and discover more about food and drink through their work.
Hosted by Angela Hartnett and Andi Oliver, this year's winners were chosen across six categories that showcase passion, talent and extraordinary devotion to food and drink culture. Congratulations to all the very well-deserved wins.
