To celebrate the arrival of the Philips Lumea IPL Series 9900, Philips is launching The Pain Payback, an immersive one-day pop-up to show us there IS a pain-free road out there in our search for silky-smooth skin.
Say goodbye to the agony and discomfort of traditional hair removal: pain, blistered skin caused by waxing, rashes from hair removal cream or ingrown hairs or cuts from shaving. We probably all want this overdue payback time for all that pain.
In this pain removal-themed immersive and interactive space, visitors can take a journey through pain in the Pain Room, where spiky panelling, sticky floors and a Velcro wall will recreate a physical experience of the uncomfortable process of waxing and shaving.
The journey will then continue onto the Rage Room, where you can take out the frustrations by physically destroying objects that represent hair removal tools and the associated products that have caused you pain, such as wax strips, razors and tweezers, by throwing, popping and smashing them.
The last is the relaxing Lumea Room, a calming space where guests can enjoy a peaceful moment with refreshments, learn how they can achieve 12 months of hair-free smooth skin with advice from experts and get to try out the new Philips Lumea IPL 9900 hair removal device.
