Asda has recently revealed this year's Christmas advert which stars a family of gnomes Max, Gnibbles, Gnorma, Gnicky and Gnarla who take the UK by storm. To celebrate they are opening The Gnome of Christmas Market, the world's smallest Christmas market, designed specifically for gnomes.
Asda’s Gnome of Christmas Market pop-up will feature five miniature market stalls which are just three and half feet high and manned by real-life people. Each stall matches the individual passions and personalities of each gnome. They will offer passer-bys the chance to try Asda and George Christmas range while interacting with the little stars of Asda’s Christmas advert.
Head gnome Max will be running the ‘Magical Mince Pie’ stall and party planner Gnorma will be hosting a ‘Glorious Grazing’ extravaganza.
Gourmet gnome Gnibbles, will handle the ‘Christmas Cheese’ section and Surfer dude Gnarla will serve an assortment of fish canapes at the 'Festive Afternoon Sea' stand.
Gnicky, the fantastical fashionista, will be leading the ‘Deck The Halls’ Christmas decorations stall.
Visitors will also the chance to win a festive goody bag filled with Christmas treats by scanning a QR code and playing the Asda Gnome Game on TikTok, which requires them to catch at least 15 of the falling baubles in their basket by moving left and right.
David Hills, Chief Customer Officer at Asda, said: "It’s been fantastic to see the response to our Christmas campaign and we’re thrilled that the nation seems to be falling in love with our gnomes, so what better way to celebrate than to bring some playful Christmas cheer to London with our gnome-sized market. Visitors will not only get the chance to be up, close and personal with our pint-sized heroes, they’ll also get to sample some of the incredible products which make up our Christmas range in a really fun and unique way.”
Asda's Christmas ad has had 1m views already on YouTube in just three days.
