Battersea Power Station will open a 1950s-inspired hair and beauty pop-up as part of its part of the ‘Behind the Bricks’ festival, a celebration of its one-year opening anniversary.
The station reopened to the public on 14 October 2022 after being decommissioned forty years ago and afollowing an eight-year restoration. It is now home to over 100 shops, bars, restaurants, 254 apartments, offices, leisure and entertainment venues.\
The pop-up, called the 'Power Parlour', will have mid-century design furnishing and will take visitors back to the 1950s, when the second half of the Grade II* listed Power Station was complete.
Hair and beauty makeovers will be on offer, including bold classic Hollywood glamour styles to chic 50’s waves by Blush + Blow London and various treatments and styling services R.W. Wolf London barbers.
MAC Cosmetics offer the "ultimate 50s glow-up" introducing guests to the brand's wide range of beauty products to recreate the vintage look.
Control Room B, the 1950s-inspired bar, will offer cocktails in collaboration with Hendrick’s Gin and Atopia Non-Alcoholic Spirit to complete the experience.
The ‘Behind the Bricks’ festival will allow visitors to discover more about Battersea's rich heritage and transformation, including expert panel talks, guided tours, and a variety of family-friendly activities.
