The Olympics are back! This year they take place in Paris and surfing, skateboarding, sports climbing and breaking have been introduced (that's break dancing - we had to google it too). An epic opening ceremony along the Seine has been announced, followed by two weeks of world-class sporting competitions.
Grab your gang and watch Team GB do us proud as you enjoy 329 heart pumping events across an impressive 32 sports. Better yet, as Paris is just one hour ahead, every event is on at a decent hour so there's no excuse not to get involved.
Whether you intend to spend Friday's opening ceremony solo on the couch or you are hosting a viewing party we hope you enjoy. But if you do choose to venture out, here are the best places to go between 26th July – 11th August 2024:
Battersea Power Station is one of London’s official Team GB fanzones for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
You'll be able to enjoy fantastic coverage of the Olympics on The Big Screen in Power Station Park, delivered in partnership with Team GB and Ocean Outdoor, all for free.
There'll also be a variety of fun Olympic inspired pop-ups:
Aldi’s People Power Challenge: Race against family and friends on mounted bikes, including a unique hand-cranked bike. Track your progress on an LED installation that lights up as you speed ahead. Winners will be rewarded with freshly prepared smoothies from Aldi’s beverage trailer, featuring their frozen four berries medley and strawberry banana smoothie mixes.
NatWest Team Talk: Walk through NatWest’s AR headset tunnel and immerse yourself in motivational content featuring elite Olympians. This installation connects fans directly with the Team GB House in Paris. Enjoy a competition, exclusive merchandise, and a fun photo booth!
TikTok Goal Setting Pledge Wall: An interactive experience that encourages sports fans and online content creators to participate in sports and learn something new. Don’t miss the live stream of TikTok’s house party from the Team GB House in Paris on Thursday 8th August, featuring Natasha Bedingfield and Cat Burns.
Danone’s GetPRO: Boost your performance with Danone’s GetPRO. Sample their range of protein drinks and yogurts designed to keep you energised throughout the Games.
Furthermore, there will be special appearances from Olympians including British rower, Karen Bennett, on Sunday 28th July (1pm-3pm).
Plus, don’t forget they have loads of free family-friendly activities all summer long and all the live sporting action on the big screen.
King’s Cross, Lewis Cubitt Square
Alongside the big screen sporting action, fans visiting the free Team GB Fanzone at King’s Cross, presented by Eurostar, will also enjoy live DJ sets, Olympic-themed activities, a programme of onstage entertainment and Q&As and medal celebrations with Team GB’s returning athletes.
You can expect sports workshops with the experts, including skateboarding, judo, rowing and more. You can also enjoy hosted quizzes, fitness classes, DJs and daily entertainment. Find out all the info on timings and events on the Team GB app.
Grab a deck chair to watch the sporting action on a giant outdoor screen, in the heart of the capital.
Bask in the sunshine while cheering on the athletes, and indulge in food and drink from a variety of tempting food stalls, including Fabulous Coffee Co, Masa Tacos, and Harissa & Lemon, pizza and more.
Experience the excitement of supporting Team GB from this expansive outdoor space, situated at Westfield London’s busiest entrance, with a large outdoor screen and nearby entertainment venues such as Puttshack and All Star Lanes.
There will also be tasty treats, garden games, cinema screenings and kids' activities, as well as The Giant's Garden (26 July – 11 August) where everything is larger than life. Take your photo at the giant watering can, test your balance in the Zorb pool, play a game of giant swing ball, join in with arts and crafts, and much more.
East Village, Stratford
East Village in Stratford is hosting a spectacular ‘Summer of Sport’ celebration with great vibes, Olympic history and delicious food and drinks.
They have a massive outdoor screen for broadcasting events, comfy deck chairs for you to slump back in and a friendly and inclusive community of like-minded Olympics-lovers.
Actual Olympians have walked the same paths with the Olympic Park literally next door. Grab a selfie at the famous Olympic Rings, or take a tour of the London Stadium.
Plus, Urban Food Festival will be popping up for the opening weekend with loads of delicious street food trucks.

On Friday 26th July, they are streaming the entire opening ceremony on giant screens for free to kick off Olympics season. To celebrate this, the vendors on Lamb Street are offering promotions throughout the evening.
